BW Men Finish Third at All-Ohio Meet

WESTERVILLE, OHIO –  The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team tied for third place at the annual All-Ohio Division III Championship Meet today in the Clements Recreation Center at Otterbein University. This was the fifth indoor meet of the winter for the Yellow Jackets.  Highlighting the meet for BW was junior NCAA Division III All-American sprinter Kevin Johnson (Maple Heights/ Cleveland St. Ignatius), who tied a longstanding school-record

The Yellow Jacket men scored 49 points and had two first place finishers.

Johnson led the way as he won the 60-meter dash in 6.90 seconds and tied Isaac Fear's 1999 school-record. Senior CAPITAL ONE Academic All-American distance standout Ken Janosko (Mentor) won the men's 5000-meter run with a time of 15:07.01.

In addition, senior three-time NCAA Division III All-American thrower Mitch Supan (Medina/ Walsh Jesuit) finished second in the shot put with a throw of 53-feet and 1.75-inches and placed second in the weight throw with a toss of 61' 6.25". A night earlier, Supan set a BW school-record in the weight throw with a toss of 63'8.75 at the annual BW Mid-February Meet in Berea.

The Yellow Jacket track and field teams are back in action on Friday, February 15 when they host the annual Greater Cleveland College Championship Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track in Berea at 5:00 p.m.
