BW Men Finish Second at Wooster

WOOSTER, OHIO – The Baldwin Wallace University women's indoor track and field team finished first and the men placed second at The College of Wooster Fighting Scot Invitational Meet today inside the new Scot Center. This was the third indoor meet of the winter for the Yellow Jackets.

The Yellow Jacket women finished first out of five schools with 184 points and the men were second out of five teams and scored 115 points.

The Yellow Jacket men were led by junior Kevin Johnson (Maple Heights/St. Ignatius), freshmen Todd Flinn (Mentor) and Tyler Burdoff (Painesville/Riverside).  Johnson finished first in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.95 seconds and first in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.81 seconds.  Flinn finished first in the men's high jump with a leap of 5'09.75".  Burdoff finished first in the weight throw with a mark of 46'09.50" and first in the shot put with a mark of 46'05.25".

 In addition to the individual events, the men's 4 x 200 relay finished first with a time of 1:31.26 seconds.  The team consisted of Johnson, junior Shawn Cordes (Litchfield/Medina Buckeye), freshman Jarod Conrad (West Lafayette) and junior Josiah Holt (Elyria/Midview). 

 The Yellow Jacket track and field teams are back in action on Friday, February 8 when BW hosts the Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track at 5:00 p.m.
