BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:    Kenny Janosko ran four years of cross country and four years track and field at Baldwin Wallace University from the fall of 2009 through the spring of 2013. He earned four varsity letters in each sport and was one of the finest distance runners to compete at BW.

Highlighting his career was being named as a CAPITAL ONE Academic All-American in 2011-2012 (he is still under consideration this spring for 2012-2013 honors) and being named as the 2011-2012 Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Co-Cross Country Runner of the Year.

ACADEMIC HONORS:   Kenny was a 2011-2012 CAPITAL ONE Academic All-American and a first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District pick. He carried a 3.8 grade point average and was a member of the Dean's List and the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies. He is also a Jacket Scholar and received the Jerry Zemelka Yellow Jacket Award. Kenny also earned Academic All-OAC honors as both a junior and senior. He is currently listed on the 2012-2013 CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District VII ballot.

ATHLETIC HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Kenny earned both All-Ohio Athletic Conference and All-Great Lakes Region honors in cross country.  As a junior in 2011-2012, Kenny earned All-OAC and All-Great Lakes Region honors, advanced to the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet and was named as the 2011 OAC Men's Co-Cross Country Runner of the Year.  As a senior, Kenny was named as the OAC Cross Country Runner of the Week on October 8.

GENERAL CROSS COUNTRY INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2009-2010, Kenny ran in his first season of cross country and earned his first varsity letter.  His best time was a mark of 26:29.10 where he placed 51st out of 168 total runners at the BGSU Mel Brodt Invitational.  His best finish was at the CWRU Bill Sudeck Meet where he posted a time of 28:21.76 and finished 21st of 81 total runners.

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Ken competed in his second season of cross country and earned his second letter.  Kenny earned All-Ohio honors for his fifth place finish of 138 runners at the All-Ohio Championship Meet.  He also earned All-OAC honors with a third place finish at the OAC Championships with a time of 25:45.  Kenny earned All-Great Lakes Region honors with 24th place finish in 25:47.8.

As a junior in 2011-2012, Kenny competed in his third season of cross country and was one of the best men's cross country runners in NCAA Division III. He was named as the OAC Men's Co-Cross Country Runner of the Year. He competed at the 2011 NCAA Division III National Cross Country Championship Meet at the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, covering the 8K course as the OAC's top runner in a time of 25:02. Kenny earned All-Great Lakes Region honors by placing sixth (of 253 runners) at the Great Lakes Regional Meet in 24:56.38 (top OAC finisher). He also earned All-OAC accolades for the second straight season and was the individual runner-up. He also earned All-Ohio honors for the second consecutive fall for placing fourth at the All-Ohio Meet. Kenny was named as the OAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for his efforts in winning the 4-mile run at the season-opening The College of Wooster Invitational.

As a senior in 2012-2013, Kenny competed in his fourth season of cross country and was the team's best runner. He was named as the OAC Cross Country Runner of the Week on October 8 for his eighth place performance of 376 total runners at the Rose-Hulman (Ind.) Meet in 25:45.1.  He set his career-best time in the 8K with his performance at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble when he finished with a time of 24:21.40. Kenny also competed in the season-ending OAC Meet where he finished second of 147 total runners in 25:26.8.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2009-2010, Kenny ran in his first season of indoor track and posted times of 2:07.99 in the 800-meter run at the Mid-February Meet, 9:03.22 in the 3000-meter run at the Cleveland College Championship, and 4:39.22 in the one-mile run at the Mid-February Meet.

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Kenny competed in his second season of indoor track. Kenny had leading team times in both the 3000- and 5000-meter runs, with times of 8:50.85 and 15:15.59, respectively. 

As a junior in 2011-2012, Kenny earned All-OAC honors in the 3000-meter race (third place), where he finished with his best time at the 2012 Greater Cleveland College Championship with a mark of 8:44.27, and in the 5000-meter race (second place), where he crossed the finish line with his best time of the season at 4:06.60 at the 9th Annual Indoor All-Ohio. His 3000-meter best this season was also his career-best time. Kenny was also named All-Ohio in the 5000-meter (second place).

As a senior in 2012-2013, Kenny competed in his fourth season of indoor track. He finished with team-best times in the 3000-meter run (8:50.53) and 5000-meter run (15:07.01). He earned All-Ohio honors and was the individual champion in the 5000 meters (15:07.01). 

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2009-2010, Kenny ran in his first season of outdoor track.  He posted personal best times of 2:02.81 in the 800-meter run at the Sparky Adams Invitational and 4:09.48 in the 1500-meter run at the Charlotte 49er Classic. Kenny also ran a time of 15:32.28 in the 5000-meter run at the All-Ohio Meet.

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Kenny  competed in his second season of outdoor track. Kenny again had leading team times in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:09.91 at the Marv Frye Invitational 2011 and in the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:27.19 at the All-Ohio Track & Field event. 

As a junior in 2011-2012, Kenny began the season but did not complete it due to an injury. His best time in the 5000-meter was 14:59.77 at the UNC-Charlotte 49er Invitational and a 31:24.23 clocking in the 10,000 meters at the Coastal Carolina (SC) Meet during Spring Break.

As a senior in 2012-2013, Kenny competed in his fourth season of outdoor track and earned his fourth letter. He set career-bests in the 1500-meter run (4:03.13) at the Marv Frye Invitational, the 5000-meter run (14:51.69) at the Charlotte (N.C.) 49er Classic and the 10,000-meter run (31:02.15) at the Coastal Carolina (S.C.) University Invitational.  Kenny also placed 33rd in the 10K of the nationally prestigious Drake Relays (31:53.92).  Kenny was the All-Ohio champion in the 10,000 meters (31:16.19).

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Kenny Janosko grew up in Mentor, Ohio and graduated from Mentor High School.

He ran cross country and track and field for four years and earned four varsity letters.

In cross county, Kenny was a three-time All-Lake Erie League and OHSAA State Qualifier.  He was also team co-captain and Academic All-Ohio.

In track, Kenny was All-LEL as a junior and senior and District runner-up and regional qualifier in the 1600 meters in 2009.  He also received the Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award in 2006.

Academically, Kenny was in the National Honor Society, earned an honors diploma, graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Anish Shah and Regis Shivers Memorial Scholarships for athletics and academics.
