BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:  Dan Nowak will compete in his second seasons of cross country and track at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014. He has earned one varsity letter in each.

GENERAL CROSS COUNTRY INFORMATION:  Dan enters his sophomore season as one of six returning second-year runners looking to improve on the Yellow Jackets 31-53 record last season. Look for Dan to also improve on his personal-best marks and earn his second varsity letter.

As a freshman in 2012-2013, Dan competed in his first season of cross country. His fastest time in the 8K came at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble where he finished 190th out of 275 total runners in a time of 27:22.0. Dan also competed at the season-ending Ohio Athletic Conference Championships where he finished 80th out of 147 total runners in a mark of 28:05.8.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Dan will look to compete in his second season of cross country and will look to earn his second varsity letter.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:  Dan enters his sophomore season competing in distance races. He has helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 37-12-1 record in his first season in the Brown and Gold.

As a freshman in 2012-2013, Dan competed in his first season of indoor track and field. He ran the fastest time for BW this season in the 1000-meter race when he was the eighth place finisher at the 2013 Greater Cleveland College Championship in a time of 2:47.29.  Dan competed in the 3000-meter run and finished with a mark of 10:02.43.  He also ran the one-mile race and crossed the finish line in a time of 4:45.77.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Dan will look to compete in his second season of track and field and will look to earn his second varsity letter.

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK INFORMATION:  Dan enters his sophomore season competing in distance races. He has helped BW compile a record of 32-4 in his first season as a Yellow Jacket.

As a freshman in 2012-2013, Dan competed in his first season of outdoor track and field.  He only competed in the 5000-meter run and finished with his best time at the Marv Frye Invitational in a time of 16:51.56. Dan also competed in the 800-meter and 1500-meter runs where he had both of his season-bests at the 2013 Sparky Adams Invitational with marks of 2:08.66 and 4:25.94, respectively.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Dan will look to compete in his second season of track and field and will look to earn his second varsity letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Dan grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia and graduated from University High School. He ran cross country and earned four varsity letters, competed in track and earned one varsity letter, and played lacrosse and earned three varsity letters.

In cross country, Dan was co-captain of the team. As a senior, he was named to the All-Conference team and was also a Regional Runner-Up. In lacrosse, Dan won the State Championship during his junior season.
