BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: As a junior in 2012-13, Mike competed in his third season of football for the Yellow Jackets earning his third varsity letter. Mike also competed in his third seasons of indoor and outdoor track and field running in sprints and relays where he earned his third varsity letter in both sports as well, respectively.   

ATHLETIC HONORS: Mike has earned All-OAC honors as well all All-American for his outstanding efforts running in sprints and relays.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION: Mike has had a solid three-year indoor track and field career. B-W has finished fourth in the OAC in his last two seasons in the Brown & Gold. For his career, Mike has recorded career best marks of 6.77 seconds in the 55-meter, 7.24 seconds in the 60-meter dash, and a 22.71 second finish in the 200-meter dash.

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Mike competed in his first season of indoor track. He had a season-best of 6.80 in the 55-meter dash and 23.70 in the 200-meter dash.  

As a junior in 2011-2012, Mike competed in his second season of indoor track.  He had career bests in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.77 and in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.71.

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION: Mike has had a solid three year outdoor track and field career. B-W has finished second in the OAC in his last two seasons in the Brown & Gold. For his career, Mike has recorded career best marks of 11.13 seconds in the 100-meter and 22.18 seconds in the 200-meter dash. He also earned All-American accolades as he was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that recorded a 41.46 timing in the finals to place eighth.

Mike competed in his first season of outdoor track in 2009-2010. He ran a season-best in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.15.  He placed seventh at the Ohio Athletic Championships in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.34.  He was also part of the 4x100 meter relay team which placed fourth at the OAC Championships with a season-best time of 42.77.       

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Mike competed in his second season of outdoor track.  He had a season-best time of 11.18 in the 100-meter dash and 22.60 in the 200-meter dash. Mike also long jumped and had a career-best of 21' 2.75".

As a junior is 2011-2012, Mike competed in his third season of outdoor track.  He posted carrer-best times in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash crossing the finish line at 11.13 and 22.18 respectively.  Mike is a triple jumper and posted a season-best distance of 43' 10.75. He is also a member of the NCAA Division III National qualifying 4x100-meter relay team that posted a time of 41.57.  During the NCAA Division III Championship meet, Mike and the 4x100-meter relay team finished eighth in a time of 41.46 to earn All-American honors.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Mike Smith grew up in Wintersville, Ohio and graduated from Indian Creek High School. Mike lettered three years in a row, 3rd in the state 300-meter hurdles, and 6th in the state long jump.

Mike placed third in Ohio in the hurdles and sixth in the long jump for Division III.
