BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: As a senior in 2012-2013, Zach competed in his fourth season of track and field. He has earned four varsity letters during his career at BW.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK INFORMATION: Zach has had a solid indoor track career thus far. He has helped BW to a 78-11 record in his first two seasons of competition. He earned All-OAC honors in the shotput. 

As a freshman in 2010,  Zach did not compete in indoor track due to an injury.

As a sophomore in 2011, Zach competed in his first season of indoor track. He had a season-best of  47' 5.75 in the men's weight throw during the 2011 OAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Zach also had a season-best in the shotput of 50' 3.50".

As a junior in 2012, Zach competed in his second season of indoor track. He competed at the 2012 NCAA Division III National Indoor Track & Field Meet in the men's shot and finished ninth with a career-best throw of 54'2". He missed All-America honors by just one spot (top eight places earn All-America status).  Zach earned All-OAC honors in the shot put as he placed second with a throw of 53' 5.50"and seventh in the weight throw with a career-best of 47' 10.5".

As a senior in 2012-2013, Zach competed in his fourth season of indoor track and field.  He holds the team's second-best distance in the shot put this season with a throw of 52' 7.5" at the 2013 Mid-February Meet. Zach also set a personal record in the weight throw this season with a throw of 52' 1.25" at the 2013 Mid-February Meet. He has earned four varsity track and field letters during this time as a Yellow Jacket.

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK INFORMATION: Zach has had a solid outdoor track career thus far. The Brown and Gold have a 112-21 record since he became a Yellow Jacket.

As a freshman in 2010, Zach competed in his first season of outdoor track and earned his first varsity letter. He recorded a mark of 50'1.25" in the shot put and 148'09" in the discus at the Allegheny "Gator" Invitational, and 131'07" in the hammer throw at the Toledo Tune-Up.  

As a sophomore in 2011, Zach  competed in his second season of outdoor track and earned his second varsity letter.  He had personal-bests in all of his events with a mark of 51' 5.50" in the shot put, 155' 01" in the discus and 157' 00" in the hammer.

As a junior in 2012, Zach competed in his third season of outdoor track. He earned OAC Field Athlete of the Week honors for his efforts at the Ohio Wesleyan University Marv Frye Meet. At the OAC Championships, Zach finished fourth in the shot put with a career-best of 55' 3.75', second in the discus with a career best 166' 7", and fourth in the hammer throw at 163' 5".  Zach qualified for the NCAA Division III National Tournament in both the discus and shot put with throws of 166' 7" and 55' 3.75" respectively.

As a senior in 2012-2013, Zach competed in his fourth season of outdoor track and field.  He recorded a personal best throw in the hammer with a distance of 167' 1" at the 2013 Sparky Adams Invitational. Zach also held BW's second-best discus throw of the season with a distance of 158' 5" at the Coastal Carolina University Invitational. He has earned four varsity letters in track and field during his time at BW.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Zach Marinucci grew up in Brunswick, Ohio and graduated from Brunswick High School. Zach played one year of soccer. He also competed and earned four letters in track and field.

In 2007-08 as a junior, Zach was the OHSAA state indoor shot put champion.  That spring, he was the OHSAA Division I state runner-up in the shot put and placed fifth in the discus. He also was the Northern Ohio Conference champion in the shot put and discus and the District runner-up in the shot and discus. As a senior in 2008-09, Zach was the OHSAA state runner-up in the shot put indoors.
