Today's Game -- The Baldwin Wallace University football team travels to Marietta for an Ohio Athletic Conferenc game againt Marietta College. The Yellow Jackets defeated Capital by a final score of 28-12 last saturday.  The Pioneers won their first game of the season with a 50-22 victory against Wilmington.

Series Notes --  This is the 35th meeting on the gridiron between the two schools.  BW holds a 30-5 series lead. The series began in 1974 when BW defeated Marietta, 73-0, in Berea.  The last Marietta win came in 2008 when it beat BW, 37-31 in overtime, in Berea. 

Last Meeting -- In the last meeeting on October 27, 2012,  the Yellow Jackets defeated the Pioneers, 66-14.   BW outgained Marietta, 466-32, in total offense

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week seven of the season, BW scored 28 points on 328 yards rushing, 55 yards passing and 383 total yards. The Yellow Jackets allowed 12 points on 216 yards rushing, 96 yards passing and 312 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, junior quarterback Michael Slack (Casselberry, Fla./Pine Castle Christian) has completed 45-of-70 passes for 637 yards with five TDs and seven interceptions.  Junior running back Nolan Sordyl (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) leads the rushing attack with 505 yards on 95 carries with five scores. Senior WR/RB Josiah Holt (Elyria/Grafton Midview) is second on the team in rushing and receiving with 389 yards rushing with five TDS and has caught 13 passes for 135 yards.  Senior WR Kevin Johnson (Maple Heights/St. Ignatius) tops the receiving corp with 19 catches for 284 yards and three TDs.

Defensively, senior LB David Flegal (Akron/Revere) leads the team with 71 tackles and two fumble recoviers. Junior LB Dan O'Brien (Warren/Howland) is second on the team with 46. Junior DL Luke Riemenschneider (Rocky River) is third with 43 but leads the team with five and a half sacks and five QB hurries. Junior DB Joe Kasper (Mentor) is fourth with 41 tackles and has five pass break ups.  Senior LB Matt Torgler (Orrville/Dalton) is fifth with 32.  The Yellow Jackets have four interceptions, seven fumble recoveries and 16 sacks.

Scouting The Pioneers
In week seven of the season, Marietta scored 50 points on 231 yards rushing, 245 yards passing and 476 total yards. The Pioneers allowed 22 points on 110 yards rushing, 317 yards passing and 427 total yards. 

Pioneer Statistical Leaders
Offensively,senior QB Tom Fulton has completed 95-of-185 passes for 970 yards with seven TD's and seven interceptions. Junior RB Tim Conner leads the rushing attack with 525 yards on 135 attempts with two TD's.  Senior WR Kirby Harris leads all wide recievers with 38 receptions for 422 yards and two TD's.

Defensivley,  senior LB Jake Hammer tops the squad with 77 tackles.  Junior DB Cody Rice is second with 56 and is tied for the team lead in sack and interceptions with one apiece. Freshman DB Corey Hunsberger is third with 46 stops but tops the team with two pass break ups. The Pioneers have four interceptions and six sacks.
