Today's Game -- The Baldwin Wallace University football team plays its final night game of the 2013 season when it travels to Wilmington for an OAC game with Wilmington College. The Yellow Jackets defeated Ohio Northern 38-17 on Homecoming last Saturday.  The Quakers fell to No. 1 nationally ranked and defending NCAA Division III Champion University of Mount Union by a score of 62-0 in Alliance

Series Notes --  This 15th meeting on the gridiron between the two schools.  BW holds an 11-3 series lead. The series began in 1922 with the Quakers defeating the Yellow Jackets, 16-7, in Berea.  The last Wilmington win came in 2008 when it beat the Yellow Jackets, 27-21, in Wilmington.

Last Meeting -- The last time BW and Wilmington met on October 13, 2012,  the Yellow Jackets defeated the Quakers, 49-17.   BW outgained Wilmington 403-344, in total offense

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week five of the season, BW scored 38 points on 309 yards rushing, 169 yards passing and 478 total yards. The Yellow Jackets allowed 17 points on 88 yards rushing, 317 yards passing and 405 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, junior quarterback Michael Slack (Casselberry, Fla./Pine Castle Christian) has completed 39-of-59 passes for 537 yards with three TDs and five interceptions.  Slack also leads the team in rushing with 290 yards on 51 carries with three TDs.  Junior running back Nolan Sordyl (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) is the second leading rusher with 261 yards on 62 carries with three scores. Senior WR Kevin Johnson (Maple Heights/St. Ignatius) tops the squad with 14 catches for 215 yards and one TD.

Defensively, senior LB David Flegal (Akron/Revere) leads the team with 58 tackles. Junior DL Luke Riemenschneider (Rocky River) is second with 34 but leads the team with five sacks, four QB hurries and is tied for the team-lead with one fumble recovery. Junior LB Dan O'Brien (Warren/Howland) is third on the team with 32 tackles and is tied for the team-lead with one interception and one fumble recovery. Senior LB Matt Torgler (Orrville/Dalton) is fourth with 26 stops and senior DB Zack Barley (Hudson) is fifth on the team with 25.  The Yellow Jackets have two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and 11 sacks.

Scouting The Quakers
In week five of the season, Wilmington did not score a point on 31 yards rushing,  64 yards passing and 95 total yards. The Quakers allowed 62 points on 425 yards rushing, 217 yards passing and 642 total yards. 

Quaker Statistical Leaders
Offensively, senior QB Brandon Arehart has completed 91-of-189 passes for 1,430 yards with 10 TD's and nine interceptions. Freshman RB Zak Kruer leads the rushing attack with 168 yards on 58 attempts with two TD's. Sophomore WR Jeremy Duncan leads the receiving corps with a team-high 36 catches for 672 yards and five TD's while senior WR Kyle Akers is second with 21 grabs for 324 yards and four TD's.

Defensivley,  sophomore LB Tarrell Starckey leads the team with 58 tackles, tied for team-lead with seven tackles for loss and tops with three pass break-ups. Senior DL Aaron Day is tied for secondwith 33 tackles and tied for first with seven tackles for loss and two QB sacks.  Junior DB Joe Joe Knecht is tied for second with 33 stops. The Quakers have seven sacks and one interception.
