BEREA -- Senior punter Matt Harmon (Canfield) and junior linebacker Dan O'Brien (Warren/Howland) have been selected as Ohio Athletic Conference Special Teams and Defensive Players-of-the-Week.

Harmon earns his third OAC Special Teams Player-of-the-Week honor after he averaged 46.1 yards in seven punting attempts in a 23-13 Yellow Jacket victory against Muskingum last Saturday.  He booted a season-long 61-yarder and had three punts that landed inside the Muskingum 20-yard line. On the season, Harmon is averaging 43.9 yards per punt in 13 attempts with seven landing inside the opposition's 20-yard line.

O'Brien garners his first OAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week honor after he tallied seven tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss in last Saturday's victory.  He also had a quarterback sack, intercepted a pass and both forced and recovered a fumble that he returned 21 yards. For the season, O'Brien is fifth on the team with 19 tackles and is tied for the team lead in interceptions and fumble recoveries with one apiece.

BW (2-1 overall, 1-1 OAC) is back in action this Saturday, October when it travels to Westerville for an OAC game at Otterbein University (1-2, 1-1 OAC) at 7 p.m.   Fans can listen to the game on campus radio station WBWC 88.3 FM or via the internet at www.wbwc.com.   The next home game is on Saturday, October 12 when the team hosts Ohio Northern University on Homecoming at 2 p.m.
