Today's Game -- The Baldwin Wallace University football team travels to Westerville on Saturday, October 5 for an OAC game against Otterbein Universoty.  The Yellow Jackets won their first OAC game last Saturday with a 23-13 victory against Muskingum on the Tressel Field.  The Cardinals fell to John Carroll by a score of 28-0 in University Heights.

Series Notes --  This 45th meetinng times on the gridiron between the two schools.  BW holds a 36-8-1 series lead. The series began in 1925 with the Yellow Jackets defeating the Cardinals, 7-0, in Berea.  The last Yellow Jacket win came in 2011 when it beat the Cardinals, 27-21, in Westerville.

Last Meeting -- The last time BW and Otterbein met on September 29, 2012,  the Yellow Jackets fell to the Cardinals, 38-17.   Otterbein outgained BW 462-308, in total offense

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week three of the season, BW scored 23 points on 194 yards rushing, 84 yards passing and 278 total yards. The Yellow Jackets allowed 13 points on 77 yards rushing, 164 yards passing and 241 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, junior quarterback Michael Slack (Casselberry, Fla./Pine Castle Christian) has completed 17-of-62 passes for 283 yards with two TDs and three interceptions.  Slack also is second on the team in rushing with 161 yards on 31 carries with two TDs.  Junior running back Nolan Sordyl (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) leads the rushing attack with 184 yards on 42 carries with two scores. Junior WR Javon Burks (Naples, Fla./Golden Gate) has hauled in three passes for 100 (33.3 ypc) and one TD.  Senior WR Kevin Johnson (Maple Heights/St. Ignatius) tops the squad with sevent catches for 83 yards.

Defensively, senior LB David Flegal (Akron/Revere) leads the team with 34 tackles.  Junior DL Luke Riemenscheider (Rocky River) is second with 22 but leads the team with two sacks. Senior LB Matt Torgler (Orrville/Dalton) is third with 20 and junior DB Nelson Candelario (Cape Coral, Fla/Island Coast) is fourth on the team with 19.  The Yellow Jackets have two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and four sacks.

Scouting The Cardinals
In week three of the season, Otterbein did not score a point on 51 yards rushing,  185 yards passing and 236 total yards. The Cardinals allowed 28 points on 101 yards rushing, 219 yards passing and 320 total yards. 

Cardinal Statistical Leaders
Offensively, senior QB Ben Sizemore has completed 36-of-65 passes for 360 yards with three TDs and no interceptions. Sophomore WR Jeremy McCoy leads the team with 16 catches for 195 yards and a TD and senior WR Steven Carpenter has 10 grabs for 120 yards and two scores.  Sophomore RB Drew Ervin leads the rushing attack with 73 yards in 2- attempts with one TD.

Defensivley,  freshman LB DAustin Jones has 25 stops and senior LB Eric Mitchell has 20 tackles. Senior DB Alex Cameron has added 17 with one interception. The Cardinalds have three interception and 13 sacks.
