Gugliotta Garners First Career OAC Weekly Honor

BEREA, OHIO --  Junior third baseman Brad Gugliotta (Twinsburg) has been selected as Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter-of-the-Week.

Gugliotta, who  garners his first OAC weekly honor, batted .667 and led the Yellow Jackets to a 4-1 record, including a win against NCAA Division I the University of Dayton. He had 12 base hits in 18 at-bats for a .667 batting average with 11 runs scored, a double, triple and three stolen bases. He also drew five walks, had a .739 on base average, reached base 19 of 23 plate appearances (twice via errors) and had an .833 slugging average. 

To date, Gugliotta tops BW in hitting at .450 (27-for-60) with 20 runs scored, three doubles, one triple, a team-leading 23 RBI and four stolen bases.

The baseball team is back in action on Tuesday, April 9 when it hosts the College of Wooster for a single nine-inning game at Heritage Field.  First pitch is slated for 4:00 p.m.
