BW Women's Track and Field Team Hosts Sparky Adams Invitational in Berea

BEREA, OHIO - The Baldwin Wallace University women's outdoor track and field team competed today (Saturday, April 23) as it hosted the unscored Sparky Adams Invitational at The George Finnie Stadium. The meet consisted of athletes from 32 NCAA Division I, II and III schools as well as NAIA institutions.

Leading the way was senior three-time All-American runner Kim Chinn (Zanesville/West Muskingum), who won the 10,000-meter run in a NCAA provisional qualifying and season-best time of 37:15.78. Chinn also automatically qualified in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and provisionally qualified in the 5,000-meter run. Senior Krysten Kovach (North Royalton/Padua Franciscan) was third in the women's 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:46.23.

The Yellow Jackets return to action next Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30, at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Meet at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio.
