Baldwin Wallace University Throwers Compete at the University of Findlay Open Meet

FINDLAY, OHIO - The Baldwin Wallace women's throwers competed at the University of Findlay Open Meet on Friday, February 4 which comprised of athletes from Division I, II and III.

Sophomore thrower Cristina Perrine (Middleburg Heights/ Midpark) led the way as she hit the NCAA provisional qualifying standard in the weight throw with mark of 51'10.50", good for eighth place. Perrine also placed 11th in the shot put throwing a distance of 39'0.50".

In addition, junior
Leslie Purnell (Springfield/ Catholic Central) placed 13th in the weight throw and 18th in the shot put with throws 48'4" and 36'4.25", respectively.
Sophomore Stefani Graber (North Royalton/ Padua Franciscan) placed 15th in the weight throw with a distance of 48'2".
 
The Yellow Jacket throwers will be back in action with the rest of the track and field teams on Friday, February 11 when BW hosts the Mid-February Meet. Field events are scheduled to start at 4:15 with running events to follow at 5:30 p.m.
