BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University Division III All-American thrower Mitch Supan (Medina/ Walsh Jesuit) is this week's (April 4, 2011) Ohio Athletic Conference Men�s Field Athlete of the Week for their efforts last week.
Supan earned his honor for winning the shot put (51-feet and 4.25-inches), discus (166"5') and hammer (176"2') throws and leading the men to a second place finish at the OAC East Meet. All three of Supan's winning throws were NCAA Division III provisional qualifying marks.
Last spring, Supan earned Division III All-America honors in the discus with an eighth place finish at last spring's NCAA Meet that was held at BW. This is his second career OAC Field Athlete of the Week award.
The Yellow Jacket men and women are back in action on Saturday, April 9 when they travel to Delaware, Ohio to participate at the Ohio Wesleyan University Marv Frye Meet. Field events begin at 11:00 a.m.
