KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team lost, 8-1, today (Saturday, February 23, 2013) at Kalamazoo College inside the Markin Center.
With its loss, BW falls to 0-3 in dual matches and Kalamazoo is 1-3 overall.
Freshman Kelsey Blatt (Tallmadge) scored the Yellow Jackets' lone victory (6-2, 6-7, 10-8) at No. 2 singles, and improved to 3-4 overall.
The BW women are next in action when they travel to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina from March 10-15 to play five matches on their annual Spring Break Trip. BW opens against NCAA Division II Charleston (W.Va.) University in its first match at 11:30 a.m.
The BW women have won four of the past six Ohio Athletic Conference titles and have advanced to the NCAA Division III National Tournament four of the past six seasons.
