Yellow Jackets Women’s Tennis Team Falls to Kenyon, 9-0

Gambier, Ohio-- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team fell to Kenyon College today, 9-0, at Kenyon College at the Jasper Tennis Center.

With its loss, the Yellow Jackets are 3-7 overall, with its win, Kenyon College improves  to 4-1 this season.

Despite the loss, the BW came close to securing a point as  senior number-five singles player Danielle Rueger (Ashland) lost in a three set marathon to Abigail Younger by scores of 6-2, 2-6, 10-8.

The Yellow Jackets will return to action in the first Ohio Athletic Conference match is on March 27 at Muskingum University and the first home match at the "Pop" Collins Tennis Complex is against The College of Wooster on April 3 at 4:30 p.m.

The BW women's tennis program is in a rebuilding stage. The Yellow Jacket women have won four of the past six OAC titles and advanced to the NCAA Division III National Tournament four times.
