Women's Volleyball Falls to No. 11 Ohio Northern

ADA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference contest against No. 11 Ohio Northern University 3-1, inside the ONU Sports Center.

BW's (18-2, 1-1 OAC) attack was led by sophomore All-OAC outside hitter Ivy Earl (Howell, Mich) as she led the match with a career-best 20 kills. Junior Academic All-OAC middle hitter Alexis Garrett (Mentor) sank 11 kills while junior Academic All-OAC middle hitter Kail Nicholas (Milwaukee, Wis./University School of Milwaukee) and junior All-OAC middle hitter Taylor Brown (Maple Heights) each tallied eight. Junior setter Kathleen Egan (Cleveland/Beaumont) led the match with 47 assists, which now puts her atop the OAC with a season total of 664 assists.

Junior Academic All-OAC and All-OAC libero Sarah Reinhard (Willoughby/South) led the match with 22 digs, meanwhile moving up two spots on BW's All-time career digs list to No. 12 with 1,317. Sophomore defensive specialist Morgan Martin (Seven Hills/Trinity) dug up 13 attacks and Earl recorded 12. Nicholas set a career-high with five total blocks, while Garrett blocked three.

The Yellow Jackets welcome Otterbein University to Ursprung Gymnasium on Saturday October 12 for the season home opener. BW's following match will be against Heidelberg University on Tuesday October 15, inside Sieberling Gymnasium.
