Brown Earns Second OAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week Honor

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the second time this season, junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference middle hitter Taylor Brown (Maple Heights) has been named OAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.

Brown earns this award after a 33-kill week, that included a career-best 22 kills, at a .633 clip in the 3-2 comeback victory over Marietta College on Saturday. The junior also tallied 11 digs.  In the match against the University of Mount Union on Tuesday, Brown sank 11 attacks and registered six blocks.

For her career, she has played in 237 sets and tallied 529 kills for a 2.23 kills-per-set ratio, 41 service aces, 133 digs, and 164 total blocks.

The Yellow Jackets square off with Heidelberg University on Tuesday November, 5 in the OAC Tournament Quarterfinals. Match begins at 7 p.m.
