Women’s Volleyball Drops OAC Tournament Semifinal Match to No. 12 Ohio Northern

ADA, Ohio – The fifth-seeded Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball team saw its season come to an end as it fell to No. 12 nationally-ranked and top-seeded Ohio Northern University in four sets inside the ONU Sports Center

BW (23-6) fell by scores of 25-23, 19-25, 9-25 and 8-25.  Ohio Northern (25-5) advances to championship game on Saturday and will host Otterbein University.

The Yellow Jacket offense was led by sophomore All-OAC right side hitter Mary Zurbrugg (Alliance) as she tallied a team-high 13 kills.  Sophomore All-OAC outside hitter Ivy Earl (Howell, Mich.) recorded 12 kills. 

Junior setter Kathleen Egan (Cleveland/Beaumont) set up the attack with 34 assists while adding six kills.  Egan will enter her senior campaign needing 107 assists to move into fifth place.

Junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC libero Sarah Reinhard (Willoughby/South) anchored the defense with a match-high 29 digs.   Earl contributed a career-best tying 19 digs, sophomore defensive specialist Morgan Martin (Seven Hills/Trinity) tallied 15 and Egan added 10.  

With her 29 digs, Reinhard moved into eighth place on school's all-time digs list with 1,483.  She will enter her final season needing 176 digs to move into the top five all-time.
