Brown Named OAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference middle hitter Taylor Brown (Maple Heights) has been named the OAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

Brown, who was named to the Ginny Hunt Kilt Classic All-Tournament team, totaled 42 kills at a three kill per set rate that was highlighted by a 12 kill performance in a straight sweep of the University of (Pa.) Pitt.-Bradford this weekend. The junior also marked six total blocks, including one solo.

For her career, Brown has accumulated 411 kills, at a .306 percentage, 97 digs, 136 blocks, and 34 service aces.

Up next BW plays Case Western Reserve University on Wednesday September, 18 at 7 pm. That weekend, BW will compete in the Hiram College Invitational, hosted by Hiram College. The first match will be on Saturday, September 21 against host, Hiram at 10 am. The second and final match of the Invite is against Penn St.-Altoona on that same Saturday at 12 pm.
