Brown Sets Career-Best, Women's Volleyball Completes Comeback

MARIETTA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball team battled back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Marietta College, 3-2 inside the Ban Johnson Arena.

This victory for BW (22-5, 5-4 OAC) secures them the fifth-seed in the Ohio Athletic Conference playoffs and will play at Heidelberg University on Tuesday November 5.

BW's attack was led by junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference middle hitter Taylor Brown (Maple Heights), as she led the match with a career-high 22 kills at a .633 hitting percentage and added three service aces. Sophomore outside hitter Cecelia Stebel (Union/Northmont) sank 15 attacks while sophomore All-OAC outside hitter Ivy Earl (Howell, Mich) buried fourteen at a .333 clip. Junior Academic All-OAC middle hitter Kail Nicholas (Milwaukee, Wis./University School of Milwaukee) recorded eight kills at a .429 clip while sophomore outside hitter Kiely Walker () tallied seven kills. Junior setter Kathleen Egan (Cleveland/Beaumont) led the match with 56 assists, while adding seven kills and sixteen digs.

Junior Academic All-OAC and All-OAC libero Sarah Reinhard (Willoughby/South) led BW with 22 digs and had four assists. Earl dug up 12 and junior Academic All-OAC defensive specialist Sydni Colchagoff (Findlay/Liberty-Benton) scooped up nine. Sophomore defensive specialist Morgan Martin (Seven Hills/Trinity) amassed eight.
