Losco’s Lone Goal Enough for BW Victory at Heidelberg

TIFFIN, OHIO --- Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder Kayla Losco (Hopewell Twp., Pa./Hopewell)  scored the game's only goal as the Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team defeated Heidelberg University, 1-0, in an OAC match at Mayer Field. 

BW (12-2, 3-1 OAC) opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Losco scored her second goal of the season off a corner kick that deflected off the Heidelberg (2-11-1, 1-3 OAC) netminder.

In goal for the Yellow Jackets, sophomore Emily Tallmadge (Fairview, Pa.) faced four shot none of which were on-goal, did not allow a goal and made no saves for her fourth shutout of the season. Tallmadge improved to 10-2 overall.

BW outshot the Student Princes by a 19-4 count and also had a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.

BW is  back in action on Saturday, October 19 when it hosts Wilmington College in the first game of a men's and women's OAC soccer doubleheader on the Tressel Field inside The George Finnie Stadium at 4:30 p.m. The men play at 7:00 p.m.  Fans can watch the women's game via live video at http://www.bwyellowjackets.com/sports/wsoc/2013-14/videos/wilmington.
