BW Women’s Soccer Scores Two Unanswered Goals in Victory

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Senior forward Kari Trivisonno (Mentor) scored her second game-winning goal of the season as the Baldwin Wallace University women's defeated Grove City (Pa.) College by a final score of 2-1 in the first game of a women's and men's doubleheader at College Field.
 
Grove City (1-4) opened the scoring when senior forward Becky McManus scored the unassisted goal in the 16th minute.

BW (4-1) tied the game at 1-1 when senior midfielder Lindsey Mikula (Rocky River) scored her first goal of the season in the 59th minute.  The goal was the fifth career goal for Mikula and her first since her sophomore season.

The Yellow Jackets took their first lead of the game when Trivisonno scored her team-leading third goal of the season as well as her team-leading second game-winner in the 82nd minute. 

In goal for BW, sophomore Emily Tallmadge (Fairview, Pa.) faced 13 shots, including seven on-goal, allowed one goal and made six saves as she improved to 3-1 overall.

The Wolverines outshot the Yellow Jackets by an 13-10 count and had a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.
 
BW next hosts Case Western Reserve University on Wednesday, September 18 on Tressel Field at 7 p.m.
