LILBURN, Ga. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team has been selected 20th in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Preseason Top-25 Poll. 

BW was 20th with 66 points. Transylvania (Ky.) University, who is the defending NCAA Division III National Champion, was picked first with 248 points and eight first place votes.  The Yellow Jackets are one of three Ohio Athletic Conference schools in the poll joined by Ohio Northern University at 10 and Marietta College at 21.  

BW concluded the 2022-23 with a record of 22-6 and an OAC slate of 14-4.   The Yellow Jackets advanced to their fourth straight NCAA Division III National Tournament.

BW, who is under the direction veteran head coach Cheri Harrer, returns 13 letterwinners, three All-Ohio Athletic Conference players and four Academic All-OAC performers from last year's squad.

The Yellow Jackets open the season on Friday and Saturday, November 10 and 11 when the team travels to Rochester, New York to compete in the Chuck Resler Tournament hosted by the University of Rochester.  BW opens the tournament with a first round game against Gettysburg (Pa.) College on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m.  The consolation and championship games will be contested on Saturday at 3 or 8 p.m.
