Vaillant Earns Second Career D3hoops.com Team of the Week Accolade

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference forward Bella Vaillant (Perrysburg) has been named to the D3hoops.com Women's Basketball Team of the Week for the second time in her career. 

Vaillant, who was named the OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week on December 11, earns her second weekly accolade after leading BW to a pair of OAC victories over crosstown rival John Carroll University last Wednesday and Capital University on Sunday.  She recorded a double-double in each game and extended her double-double streak to four games, including all three OAC games this season.

Vaillant started of the week with a game-high 18 points and a game-best 11 rebounds against the Blue Streaks.  She closed out the week with a game-best and season-best 22 point and game-best 18 rebound performance against the Comets.

This season, Vaillant is averaging a double-double as she leads the team in scoring with 13.6 points-per-game and leads the OAC with 11.1 rebounds-per-contest. She also leads the team and is tied for fourth in the league with a career-best seven blocks.  Vaillant has tallied eight assists and four steals.

For her career, Vaillant has appeared in 61 games with 36 starts.  She has recorded 469 points, 308 rebounds, 34 assists, 33 steals and 13 blocks.  Vaillant has seven career double-doubles.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, December 16 when they travel to Westerville for an OAC game against Otterbein University in the Rike Center at 1 p.m.
