Women’s Basketball Climbs Two Spots in First WBCA Regular Season Poll

LILBURN, Ga. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team climbed two spots in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association first regular season poll.

BW, who was ranked 20th in the WBCA preseason poll, moves up to 18 in this week's poll.  The Yellow Jackets are one of three Ohio Athletic Conference teams ranked joining Ohio Northern University at 17 and Marietta College at 25.

BW opened the 2023-24 season with pair of victories over Gettysburg (Pa.) College and the University of Rochester (N.Y.) to capture the Chuck Resler Invitational.   The Yellow Jackets suffered their only loss to date on November 15 when they lost No. 16 nationally ranked Trine (Ind.) University.

BW is back in action on Tuesday, November 21 when it plays its home opener in the first game of women's and men's non-conference doubleheader against La Roche (Pa.) University in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 5 p.m.
