ATLANTA, Ga. -- For the 11th time in school-history, the Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team has received the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top-25 Award.

The award which is in its 27th year, honors the top-25 academic teams in NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year colleges.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Cheri Harrer, BW placed 14th after finishing the 2021-22 academic year with a 3.674 GPA.  The Yellow Jackets were one of two Ohio Athletic Conference teams to be honored. 

BW finished the 2021-22 season with a record of 23-5 and earned a share of the OAC Regular Season Title along with winning the OAC Tournament. The Yellow Jackets marched their way into their 16th NCAA National Tournament and were defeated in the school's sixth Sweet Sixteen appearance.
