BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team remains high on D3hoops.com top-25 poll, jumping from No. 14 to No. 12 in this week's poll. In the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Poll, BW improves to No. 17.

BW (13-3, 10-1 OAC) had two big wins last week over Heidelberg University (66-42) and at #19 Marietta College (74-48). It was a strong defensive week for the Yellow Jackets as they held their opponents to 31.3% shooting from the field. BW also forced 20 Heidelberg turnovers and 24 Marietta turnovers.

Conquering both OAC opponents by more than 20-point margins, BW shot 57-126 (45.2%) as a team. The Yellow Jackets were outstanding from top-to-bottom as they notched 34 bench points against the Student Princes and 33 against the Pioneers.

The Yellow Jackets are accompanied by one other OAC school in the two polls as Marietta gets knocked out of the D3hoops.com top-25. John Carroll University improves to No. 9 in the D3hoops.com rankings and No. 7 in the WBCA poll.

BW returns to play Wednesday, February 2 as it travels to Alliance, Ohio to take on the University of Mount Union in an OAC matchup. Tip-off time is to be determined due to inclement weather approaching. The game will be played in McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.
