Edwards Garners D3hoops.com and WBCA Women's Basketball All-American Accolades

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC forward Lilly Edwards (Dublin/Coffman) of the No. 13 nationally-ranked women's basketball team has been named to both the D3Hoops.com and Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-American teams.

For the season, Edwards, who garners her first D3hoops.com All-American accolade and second consecutive WBCA All-American accolade, notched 495 points, averaging the most per game in the OAC, and earned her the BW Single season point record. Edwards led the team with an average of 8.68 rebounds-per-game, which was good for second in the OAC. She notched her career-high earlier in the year in a non-conference contest against La Roche (Pa.) University as she posted 29 points. Edwards totaled 47 assists and 25 steals. She helped the Yellow Jackets to their eighth OAC regular season title and 10th OAC Tournament title.

In her career, Edwards averaged 13.99 points per game, 7.53 rebounds per game, and has tallied 1,357 total points. She has also totaled 23 career double-doubles (nine of them this year). Edwards lands on the all-time BW top-10 career leaders' lists for total points, points per game, rebounds (730), rebounds per game, field goals made (523), field goals attempted (1048), free throws made (308), free throws attempted (401), and is in the top-15 in field goal percentage (49.90) and free throw percentage (76.81).

The Yellow Jackets concluded the year with its loss in the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Tournament Sweet 16 last weekend. Edwards has led the Yellow Jackets all year and also did so in the post season, notching 20+ point games in all six post season contests. Over the post season, Edwards averaged 24.5 points per game.
