Women’s Basketball Climbs to No. 20 in D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- For the third straight week, the Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team is ranked in the D3hoops.com Top 25 index, climbing to the No. 20 spot.

BW (5-1, 2-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) moved up one spot to 20 with 173 points after being ranked 21st in the first two polls. The Yellow Jackets improved in the D3hoops.com standings after two big OAC wins over Heidelberg University and Wilmington College last week.

The Yellow Jackets, whose only loss on the season is to No. 1 nationally-ranked Hope (Mich.) College, are one of two OAC schools to be ranked as they join John Carroll University at No. 4.

BW returns to play this Sunday, December 12 as the Yellow Jackets host Marietta College for the first game of a women's and men's OAC doubleheader. Tip-off for the big OAC contest is set for 3:00 p.m. in Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
