When asked of her thoughts on the poll, head coach Cheri Harrer commented, "we appreciate the opinions of the league coaches however the OAC is incredibly talented and well coached from top to bottom. This year, even more than previous years, will be extremely competitive and any team can win on any given night. All we can do is prepare and compete to the best of our abilities and that will be our focus."

The Yellow Jackets are led by coach Harrer who returns for her 32nd year and are welcoming back 15 letterwinners to this year's squad.

BW opens the 2021-22 campaign next Tuesday, November 9 as the Yellow Jackets are on the road to face Case Western Reserve University in a non-conference contest. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. in Horsburgh Gymnasium inside the Veale Center.
