BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball improved in both national polls, landing at No. 10 in the D3hoops.com Top-25 and No. 14 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Top-25.

The No. 10 ranking ties BW's (21-4) highest ranking this season, previously slated at No. 10 in the February 7 poll. The Yellow Jackets secure their highest spot on the WBCA poll at 14, being ranked No. 15 two weeks ago in the February 15 poll.

The Yellow Jackets earned the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Championship last weekend, February 26, defeating John Carroll University (ranked No. 14 and No. 15 in the latest polls) in the Blue Streaks' home court, 60-50. To get to the tournament championship, BW took down Muskingum University in the quarterfinals 91-42 and University of Mount Union 63-51 in the semifinals.

BW remained a dominant defensive team last week. On the other side of the ball, the Yellow Jackets broke the all-time fewest turnovers committed in the game against Muskingum with four, surpassing the 2008 team who totaled six against D'Youville (N.Y.) College. BW also outrebounded its opponents 130-96 last week.

The Yellow Jackets will appear in their 16th NCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Tournament this upcoming weekend. BW is set to travel to Gettysburg, Pa. for the first and second rounds. The Yellow Jackets will face Salisbury (Md.) University in the first round on Friday, March 4 at 5:00 p.m. inside Bream Gym.
