BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University's Junior thrower Zach Marinucci (Brunswick) named as Ohio Athletic Conference Athletes-of-the-Week today (Monday, February 20 2012). This marks the first career weekly honor for Marinucci.
Marinucci earned his award by capturing first in the shot put and placing third in the weight throw at the Greater Cleveland Championships. He won the shot with a season-best throw of 54'1" and had season-best toss of 47'7.75" in the weight throw. At Kent State, Marinucci took fifth in the shot put with a mark of 53'3.
The Yellow Jackets will compete in the 2012 OAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday, February 24-25 inside the Clements Recreation Center on the campus of Otterbein University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
