BEREA, OHIO -- Two Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field student-athletes have qualified for the 2012 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet this Friday and Saturday, March 9-10 at Grinnell (Iowa) College. Highlighting the qualifiers is sophomore heptathlete Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) who enters the national meet as the top scorer in the seven-event heptathlon with 5,065 points set at the University of Akron Multi-Event Meet. In addition, Eddy will compete individually in the pole vault. He is ranked 11th in that event with a best-vault of 16-feet.
In addition to Eddy, the men's team will be represented by junior shot putter Zach Marinucci (Brunswick). He enters the meet ranked eighth in Division III and had a career-best throw of 54'8.25" yesterday at the University of Mount Union "Last Chance" Meet in Alliance.

This winter, the Yellow Jacket men's indoor teams had an outstanding season. The men posted a 36-7 mark and won three meet titles.
In addition to the two national indoor competitors participating next weekend, the rest of the men's team is currently training in Jacksonville, Florida during the Annual Spring Break. The 2012 outdoor season opens next Friday and Saturday when BW participates in the annual Coastal Carolina Snowbird Invitational Meet in Conway, South Carolina.
