HARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's track and field teams competed today (Friday, March 16, 2012) on the first day of the annual University of North Carolina Charlotte 49er Invitational Meet. The meet includes schools from Division I, II, III, NAIA and the Junior College ranks.
For the men, junior Ken Janosko (Mentor) finished seventh in the men's 5,000 meter run and set a personal record with a time of 14:59.77. In addition, junior Mitch Supan (Medina/ Walsh Jesuit)finished seventh in the hammer throw with a toss of 53.51 meters. Junior Jake Buckey (Geneva) finished 11th in the hammer throw and javalin with tosses of 49.37 meters and 48.94 meters respectively. Also for BW, sophomore Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Hieghts) finished 12th in the javalin with a throw of 48.92 meters.
The team is back in action tomorrow (Saturday, March 17, 2012) for day two of the annual University of North Carolina Charlotte 49er Invitational Meet.
Following the UNC-Charlotte Meet, the Yellow Jackets will be back in action March 31, when they compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference Split Meet (East) at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio.
