Men Finish Fourth at the OAC Indoor Track and Field Championships

WESTERVILLE, OHIO – The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team finished fourth at the 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships inside the Clements Recreation Center on the campus of Otterbein University. In addition, the top three relay teams and individuals in each event earn All-OAC honors for the 2012 season.

On day two for the men in field events, sophomore Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) came in second in the high jump, clearing 2.01 meters and junior Zach Marinucci (Brunswick) placed second in the shot put with a throw of 16.29 meters.

In the running events, a team comprised of sophomores Shawn Cordes (Litchfield/Medina Buckeye)Josiah Holt (Elyria/Grafton Midview) and seniors Mike Smith (Wintersville/Indian Creek)Daniel Sloat (Medina)placed second in the 4x200-meter relay crossing the finish line in a time of 1:30.58. Junior Ken Janosko (Mentor) finished second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:05.55.

Men will be competing again next Saturday March 3, 2012, when they travel to compete in the University of Mount Union Last Chance Meet in Alliance.

The NCAA Division III National Championships will be held the following weekend March 9-10, 2012 at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.
