Baldwin Wallace Multi-Event Athletes Compete on Day One of the University of Akron Invitational

AKRON, OHIO  –  Sophomore Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) competed competed in day one of the University of Akron Combined Events Meet. Eddy will end action in the seven-event heptathlon at Akron on Saturday and the remainder of the teams are in action at The College of Wooster Invitational at 12:00 noon in the brand new Scot Center.

At Akron, Eddy currently stands in eighth place in the 7-event heptathlon with 2,644 points after four events. Today, he will compete in the 60-meter hurdles, pole vault and 1000-meter run.  The 60 hurdles and pole vault are two of his three best events. Yesterday, he scored 732 points with a 7.44-second timing in the 60-meter dash, 632 points with a long jump of 20-feet and 4.5-inches, 540 points with a shot put of 35'9.5" and 740 points with a high jump of 6'4".

Following its meet at Wooster today, the Yellow Jackets return home and will host the annual BW Mid-February Meet next Friday, Feb. 10 at 5:00 p.m. BW also will host the annual Greater Cleveland College Championship Meet on Friday, Feb. 17 at 5:00 p.m.
