Storner of Men’s Lacrosse Named to USILA/Dynamic Team of the Week for Second Straight Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Senior men's lacrosse All-Ohio Athletic Conference goalkeeper Joe Storner (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) was selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Dynamic National Team of the Week for the second straight week and for the second time in his career.

Storner, who earns the weekly award after collecting 36 total saves in the Yellow Jackets' two non-conference wins over Berry (Ga.) College (13-4) and Transylvania (Ky.) University (14-7). In the win over Berry, Storner notched 19 saves and allowed just four goals on the 23 shots he faced, for an 82.6 save percentage and added a ground ball.

Against Transylvania, in the minutes Storner played, he only allowed three goals of the 20 shots he faced, posting 17 saves and had an 85.0 save percentage. Storner leads the OAC with 96 saves, is second in save percentage (64.4), and third in goals-against average.

This season, Storner has racked up 96 saves, 11 ground balls, and two caused turnovers. In his career, Storner is the record holder at BW in all-time saves, totaling 504, and save percentage. He also is second at BW in the following categories: career goals against average, career minutes played, career games started, and career wins. Storner has also added 79 ground balls and six caused turnovers in his career.

BW is back in action on Wednesday, March 15 as the team hosts Allegheny (Pa.) College for a non-conference game on the Tressel Field inside of the George Finnie Stadium. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
