Men’s Lacrosse Picked Tied for First in OAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – After winning the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season title the last two seasons, the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team was tabbed tied for first in the 2023 OAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

BW received 77 points and five first place votes from the other nine OAC teams. The defending OAC Tournament champions John Carroll University also received 77 points and five first place votes. Ohio Northern University was voted into third with 66 points and Capital University was chosen fourth place with 55 votes. Rounding out the top five was Otterbein University, as they totaled 51 points.

Under the direction of second year Head Coach Tony Tatro, the team returns seven All-OAC players and 10 Academic All-OAC performers, who finished with an overall record of 14-4 and a 9-0 record during conference play last season.

The Yellow Jackets start the season hosting No. 12 nationally ranked Denison University on Saturday, February 19. The game is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. on the Tressel Field inside of the George Finnie Stadium.
