Trout of Men's Lacrosse Earns First Career OAC Offensive Player of the Week Accolade

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference junior attack/midfielder Keaton Trout (Pickerington/North) of the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team has been named the OAC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season and in his career.

Trout helped the Yellow Jackets to a 25-0 win over Wilmington College last week, the first shutout in BW men's lacrosse history. Trout led the team in points, a career-high, with two goals and a career-high seven assists. 

In the win, Trout assisted on or scored the first four goals for the Yellow Jackets. He also assisted on the last four goals of the first half to give BW the 15-0 over the Quakers at the break. Trout totaled the nine points in the first 30 minutes of play and BW went on to win 25-0. 

This season, Trout has totaled 17 points, 12 assists, 11 ground balls, and five goals. In his career, he has tallied 38 points, 35 ground balls, 20 assists, 18 goals, and nine caused turnovers. 

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, April 12 as the team travels to Tiffin to take on Heidelberg University. The OAC showdown against the Student Princes will start at 7:00 p.m. inside of Hoernemann Stadium.
