WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference goalkeeper Joe Storner (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) of the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team was voted OAC Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season and for the seventh time in his career.

Storner helped the Yellow Jackets to a 16-7 win over the University of Mount Union to claim their third consecutive OAC Regular Season Title. The win set the school record for wins in a season (15), extended the record for consecutive wins, and Storner became the single season record-holder in wins as a goalkeeper.

In the win over the Purple Raiders, Storner recorded 18 saves and extended his single season saves and career saves records. This season, he has tallied 195 saves and, in his career, has totaled 603 saves, making him the first Yellow Jacket to surpass the 600 mark and just the fifth in OAC men's lacrosse history. He was also the first at BW to surpass the 400 and 500 marks.

This week he notched a .720 save percentage, while adding four ground balls and a caused turnover. In the OAC, Storner stays on top in save percentage (68.5%) and goals against average (5.99).

This season, Storner, along with his 195 saves, has added 27 ground balls and four caused turnovers. He currently holds the single season record and career record in save percentage and saves.

The Yellow Jackets return to play on Wednesday, May 3 when the team hosts Ohio Northern University in the OAC Tournament Semifinals. The game will start at 7:00 p.m. on the Tressel Field inside of the George Finnie Stadium.
