BW's Kyle Brown and Promis Cabbil Earn All-OAC Honors

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University senior forward Kyle Brown (Strongsville) and sophomore point guard Promis Cabbil (Elyria/Senior) have been named to the 2009-10 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball team.

Brown was tabbed as a second-team selection and Cabbil was named honorable mention.

Brown, who was an honorable-mention pick in 2007-08, led the Yellow Jackets in scoring at 12.9 points-per-game and with 63 three-pointers. He averaged 24.0 ppg. during the final four games of the regular season to help BW secure a spot in the OAC Tournament. In a 79-74 win at Ohio Northern on February 17, Brown matched a career-high with 32 points and tied a school-record with eight three-pointers. He was later named OAC Player of the Week for his performance. In 71 career games, Brown scored 970 points (13.7 ppg.) and totaled 309 rebounds and 169 triples. He played his freshman season at NCAA Division II Hillsdale (Mich.) College.

Cabbil was second on the team in scoring at 11.4 ppg. and led the OAC at 4.7 assists per game (123 total). He ranked eighth in the OAC with 46 steals and was fifth in foul shooting at 79.7 percent (98-of-123).

The Yellow Jackets finished the season at 14-12 overall, increasing their win total by six from the 2008-09 campaign. BW also tied for fifth in the OAC with a 9-9 league mark.
