Mike Gregory Award Winners

The Mike Gregory Award is presented to the most outstanding player in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The award was established in 1957 in honor of Mike Gregory of Denison University, who was a multi-sport standout prior to his graduation in 1929.

Thad Davis '05

2004-05:

  • Lone OAC player to average a double-double
  • League leader in scoring (20.2 ppg) and rebounding (11.8 rpg)
  • OAC top five in field goal percentage (212-of-359/.591)
  • OAC top five in blocked shot (59, 2.11 bpg)
  • Recorded 20 double-doubles (points-rebounds)
  • Helped lead team to 2005 OAC Tournament title
  • BW made fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament

Tori Davis '07

2006-07:

  • Only the seventh player to the Gregory award multiple times
  • Led OAC in scoring (22.4 ppg) and field goal shooting (.647)
  • Second in the OAC in rebounding (9.1 rpg) and blocks (59)

2005-06:

  • Led OAC in scoring (23.4 ppg) and field goal shooting (.644)
  • Second in the OAC in rebounding (8.5 rpg) and blocks (63)
  • BW wins OAC regular season and tournament titles

Career:

  • All-time leading scoring in school history (2,232 points)

  • First Yellow Jacket to receive the Gregory Honor
  • Ranked in the OAC top ten in six statistical categories in 2003
  • First-team All-OAC selection
  • Unanimous first-team Academic All-OAC pick
