Murphy Garners Fifth OAC Outdoor Women's Track Athlete of the Week Honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Baldwin Wallace University junior All-American distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the fifth time in her remarkable career.

Murphy earns her fifth weekly honor after winning the 10,000-meter run at the Amy Adams Invitational hosted by Muskingum University.

Her 10k time of 36:50.80 broke a 34 year-old BW outdoor record, previously set by Peggy Fortune in 1990.

Murphy is currently ranked first in the OAC and third in the nation.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Thursday, March 28 as they compete at the Raleigh Relays at Paul Derr Track & Field Facility, hosted by NCAA Divison I North Carolina State University.
