Women's Track and Field Ties for Eighth at All-Ohio Indoor Championships

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's indoor track and field team competed at the All-Ohio Indoor Championships hosted by Otterbein University. 

BW tied for eighth out of 12 participating teams with 35 points. University of Mount Union won the meet with 120 points.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Junior Jaelyn Jaquay (Cherry Valley, N.Y. / Springfield Central) finished second in the 5000-meter run in a time of 19:36.95

Field event highlights:

  • Freshman Amyah Chosa (Jemez Pueblo, N.M. / Jemez Valley) placed second in the shot put with a distance of 12.54 meters.
  • Freshman Rylee Gorrell (Grove City, Pa. / Grove City Area) finished fourth in the high jump with a distance of 1.56 meters.

On the relay side:

  • In the 4x200 meter relay crew, Chosa, freshman Bri Hay (Miami, Fla. / Miramar), sophomore Morgan Aloi (Sylvania / Northview), and freshman Ilana Tucker (Wooster) finished ninth in a time of 1:52.76.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Friday, Feb. 16 to compete in the Ed Finnigan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invitational hosted by Case Western Reserve University.
