Collier and Murphy Break BW Records at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference sprinter Abby Collier (Dublin / Coffman) and junior All-OAC distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) competed at the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Norfolk State (Va.) University at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.

Collier competed in the 200-meter and 400-meter dash. She finished 14th in the 200-meter in a time of 24.97, and 19th in the 400-meter in a time of 57.89. Collier's 200-meter time broke the BW indoor record that was previously set by Melanie Winters in 2015.

Murphy placed first in the 800-meter run preliminaries in a time of 2:09.72. She broke her own 800-meter BW indoor record that she set at the Akron Campbell Invitational this season. Murphy is back in action on Saturday, March 9 for Day Two of the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships. She will compete in the 800-meter run finals and the 3000-meter run finals.
