Track and Field Races Out 2023-24 Indoor and Outdoor Schedules

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Head Track and Field Coach Daniel Simpson is pleased to announce the 2023-24 indoor and outdoor schedules.

BW opens the indoor season when it travels to Youngstown on Dec. 1 to compete in the Youngstown State University Icebreaker. The following day, the Yellow Jackets travel to Cleveland on Dec. 2 to compete in the 10th Annual Holiday Classic hosted by Case Western Reserve University.

As the calendar jumps to 2024, BW is on the road as it travel to Geneva on Jan. 20 to compete in the Spire Midwest Open.  The Yellow Jackets close out the month of January as it hosts the annual Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse on Jan. 27.

BW opens February on Feb. 4 when it travels to Oberlin for the Dan Kinsey Invite hosted by Oberlin College. On the same day and following day, the Yellow Jackets travel to Ashland for the Third Jud Logan Light Giver Open hosted by Ashland University. On Feb. 9, BW hosts the Mid-February Meet.  The indoor regular season ends on Feb. 16 when the Yellow Jackets travel to Cleveland to compete in the Ed Finnegan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invitational hosted by Case Western Reserve.

The final indoor meets consist of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Muskingum University on Feb. 23 and 24, the Polar Bear Qualifier hosted by Ohio Northern University on March 2, and the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on March 8 and 9 hosted by Norfolk (Va.) State University.

The outdoor season begins on March 22 and 23 when the Yellow Jackets compete in the Amy Adams Invitational hosted by Muskingum University and the VertKlasse Meeting hosted by High Point (N.C.) University. BW closes out March as it travels to nearby Oberlin for the Bob Kahn Invitational.

April, which is the busiest month of the outdoor season, features nine road meets and one home.  The Yellow Jackets open the month as they travel to Delaware on April 6 to compete in the Marv Fyre Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. BW then heads to Tiffin on April 12 and 13 to compete in the Triffin Track Carnival hosted by Heidelberg University.  BW hosts the 54th Annual Sparky Adams Invitational on April 20 inside the George Finnie Stadium. The Yellow Jackets close out April as they compete in the Walsh University Tune-Up on April 25 and the Ashland University Alumni Open on April 27.

The final month of the outdoor season consists of the OAC Outdoor Championships hosted by Heidelberg University on May 2 and 3, the Harrison Dillard Twilight on May 10 and the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships hosted by Coastal Carolina (S.C.) University on May 23, 24 and 25.
