Alyssa Trampert Named 2008-2009 Clyde Lamb Scholar Athlete Award Winner

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University Women's tennis student-athlete Alyssa Trampert (Orchard Park, N.Y./ Orchard Park) have been named the 2008-2009 Clyde Lamb Scholar-Athlete Award winner for her efforts on the court and in the classroom.

Trampert posted a 3.53 GPA as a health and physical education major. In 2009, she was named honorable mention All-OAC for the second straight season and is a candidate for academic all-district honors.

Trampert posted a 20-7 overall record competing at number five singles in 2008-09 and compiled an outstanding 48-19 record in four seasons. She was also an intricate part of two OAC women's tennis championship teams that advanced to NCAA Tournament play.

Trampert was awarded the Lee Tressel Scholarship for her interest in coaching/teaching and her positive impact on the campus. She also received the David R. and June Demmerle Scholarship for her potential for a positive influence on the coaching/teaching profession. In addition, Trampert was presented the Hower/Stover Award for her high standard of scholarship, character, leadership, participation and professional potential. She was a Dean's List student, a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and the founder and co-president of the Physical Education club.

The Clyde Lamb Award, symbolic of the most outstanding student-athlete, is presented annually to one male and one female student-athlete from each of the 10 OAC institutions.
