BW's Amanda Schroeder and Ariel Brough Earn All-OAC Honors

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University junior guard Amanda Schroeder (Columbus Grove) and senior center Ariel Brough(Powell/Olentangy Liberty) have been named to the 2009-10 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Basketball team.

Schroeder was tabbed as a first-team selection for the second consecutive season and Brough was a second-team pick after being named honorable mention last year.

Schroeder led the Yellow Jackets and tied for fifth in the OAC in scoring at 14.5 points-per-game. She led BW with 28 three-pointers and averaged 5.1 rebounds per-game and shot a league-best 87.6 percent (120-of-130) from the free-throw line. In 87 career games, Schroeder has 980 points (11.3 ppg.), 334 rebounds and 84 three-pointers.

Brough was second on the team in scoring at 10.9 ppg. and first in rebounding at 6.8 rpg. She also ranked second in the league with a team-high 63 blocked shots. In 113 career games, Brough totaled 862 points, 657 rebounds and a school-record 236 blocks. She was a member of 87 wins (87-26 overall) and an OAC regular season and tournament championship. Brough also was named an ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-American earlier this winter.

The Yellow Jackets finished the season at 19-8 overall and advanced to the semifinal round of the OAC Tournament. BW also tied for second during the OAC regular season with a 14-4 mark.
