BW Junior Guard Amanda Schroeder Named OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University junior guard Amanda Schroeder (Columbus Grove) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time in her career.

Schroeder helped lead the Yellow Jackets to a pair of OAC victories that extended their season-best winning streak to five games. BW defeated 15th-ranked and previously unbeaten Mount Union College, 65-53, on Wednesday and Muskingum University, 75-50, on Saturday.

Schroeder averaged 18 points and 7.5 rebounds per game and shot 55.6 percent (10 of 18) from the field. She also committed only one turnover and dished out nine assists.

For the season, Schroeder leads the Yellow Jackets (10-4 overall, 6-1 OAC) in scoring at 14.7 ppg. , good for fifth in the OAC.

BW is back in action this Wednesday, January 13 at rival Ohio Northern University at 7:30 p.m. in Ada. The Yellow Jackets are next home on Saturday, January 16 versus Otterbein College at 3:00 p.m. at Ursprung Gymnasium. The game will be televised via tape delay on SportTime Ohio at 7:00 and 11:00 p.m. on Saturday night, 2:00 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 17) and 7:00 a.m. on Monday (Jan. 18).
